Job Role: Test Engineer
Job Summary :
Candidate will perform a variety of quality assurance tasks for an enterprise software application, including some or all of the following:
* Develop test cases and test plans and execute tests
* Install and configure software products on various platforms
* Take ownership for performing software testing of a given functional area
* Develop and maintain test automation
* Report software defects and track quality assurance metrics such as defect counts, test coverage
* Communicate status effectively to management
* Exposure to automated testing is desired
Education and Relevant Experience:
* Bachelors degree, preferably Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or related field
* Knowledge of software development or software quality assurance methodologies
* 1-2 years experience in software quality assurance, software development, software technical support, or related field
* Strong work experience in CAD applications like Cadence, Zuken, Mentor,Creo (previously ProEngineer), CATIA, NX, Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc
* Work experience in PDM/PLM and web-based applications would be an advantage.
* Strong written and spoken English communication skills
* Skilled in communicating with a globally distributed team compromising cross functional team members such as product managers, software engineers, and technical support engineers
* Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies
* Experience using Windows operating systems
* Exposure to automated testing, software programming, or software scripting is desired
