Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), a unique institution devoted to the research, teaching and application ofstatistics, natural sciences and social sciences. Founded by Professor P.C. Mahalanobis in Kolkata on 17th December, 1931, the institute gained the status of an Institution of National Importance by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1959.The Headquarters of ISI is located in the northern fringe of the metropolis of Kolkata. Additionally, there are two Centres located in Delhi and Bangalore. Research in Statistics and related disciplines is the primary activity of the Institute. Teaching activities are undertaken mainly in Kolkata, Delhi and Bangalore.
Candidate Profile and Job Description :
Indian Statistical Institute (Kolkata), invites applications for the post of Project Linked Persons
Qualification :
For Category A :
MCA/ M.Sc. (Computer Science/ Information Technology/ B.E/ B.Tech. (Computer Science/ Information technology) or equivalent and above from a recognized University/ Institute with more than 2 yrs exp in relevant areas.
Desirable : (i) Journal/ International Conference Proceedings publication in relevant areas, (ii) Research experience in a related topic.
For Category B :
B.E/ B.Tech. in CS/ IT/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electrical/ Electronics, or M.Sc. in CS/ IT/ Phy/ Maths/ Stat with PGDCA or equivalent or MCA or Equivalent and above. Candidates appearing in the final examination may also apply but their appointment is subject to production of the final course completion certificate/ mark sheet at the time of joining.
Desirable :
Strong programming skills in C/C++JAVA/MATLAB. Candidates having knowledge in the respective project area under which s/he is applying would be given preference.
Pay Scale : Rs. 16,000/-
Age : 35 Yrs
