Recruitment to various posts of Teachers & Technical Assistants (backlog) in the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad.
Applications are invited, in the prescribed for filling up the following post of Teachers in the cadre of Assistant Professor & Technical Assistants in the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, from the eligible candidates as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications.
The procedure for selection of candidates for the posts earmarked as backlog shall be in accordance with the Karnataka Civil Services (Unfilled vacancies reserved for the persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes) (Special Recruitment) Rules, 2001, notified by GOK vide No.DPAR 13 SBC 2001, dated 21.11.2001 and 1.6.2002.

Age Limit : 18 years - 40 years.
Qualification :
Assistant Professor Cadre:
1. Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or, an equivalent grade of B in 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master’s degree level, in the concerned subject from a recognized Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.
2. Candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in the concerned / related subject for Assistant Professor post conducted by the ASRB/UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the ICAR/ICMR/NCERT/UGC/CSIR i.e., (a) For Agriculture/Animal Husbandry/Veterinary/Fisheries/Forestry disciplines, ASRB/ ICAR NET in the concerned subject is prescribed (b) For Humanities, languages, etc., UGC NET is prescribed (c) For pure Sciences CSIR NET is prescribed.
Technical Assistants :
A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / Agricultural Mktg. & Co-operation / Sericulture /Home Science / Agril.Engineering / Veterinary Science/ Animal Science / Forestry from a recognized Agricultural University with good academic record with a minimum OGPA of 6.50/10.00 or CGPA of 2.25/4.00 or its equivalent or 55% of marks (where grade points are not in vogue).

The applicants for the posts of Teachers & Techncial Assistants have to enclose the processing fee in the form of Indian Postal Order / Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque for Rs.200/- (For SC/ST Rs.100/- only) payable to Comptroller, UAS, Dharwad.
