Junior Test Engineer
- Liaise with business analysts from Capita UK’s business team to develop and write test cases and procedures and create data to execute the test on the new software in order to ensure that the expected service from the software is being delivered;
- Write automation scripts to automate certain function/process;
- Report test results and highlight the defects in the software to the software development team and ensure that they are rectified;
- Log in defects and issues into the test management tool and re-test the defects upon rectification in the functionalities;
- Provide accurate estimates and reports of test progress to the senior test engineer;
- Manage the defect database and generate reports; and
- Escalate cases to the test lead or the senior test engineer in a timely manner.
