Job Role: Analyst - Performance Engineering
Job Summary:
Test and QA Skills:
Demonstrates a working understanding of planning, developing and coordinating testing activities includingPerformance Test Plan creation, Test Case creation, debugging, execution, test analysis.
Demonstrates analytical skills in assessing user, functional/performance and technical requirements
Demonstrates a working understanding of performance testing techniques and strategies.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of performance testing techniques and testing strategies.
Demonstrates a working understanding of test analysis and design.
Demonstrates a working understanding of analyzing test results and the creation of appropriate test metrics.
Demonstrates a working understanding of the defect management process.
Demonstrates a working understanding of software development processes and methodologies, with the ability to share that knowledge with peers, and project team members.
Demonstrates an ability to perform high level analysis of identified performance issues and map them with one or more of application code, database and infrastructure.
Identifies ways of "working smarter", through elimination of unnecessary steps or duplication
Tools/Technology Skills:
Experience and understanding of TCP/IP and Web based platforms.
Experience in technical implementation and support of tools such as LoadRunner, WebTrends etc .
Experience in creating performance test plans
Knowledge of scripting languages and experience with C desirable.
Demonstrates an understanding of any of the peripheral technologies utilized in EAG, including .Net, Lotus Notes.
Demonstrates a working understanding of Mercury test management tool like Testdirector.
Experience with Microsoft tools is highly desired
Understands enterprise wide networks and software implementations.
Preferably have knowledge of Performance Engineering tools like ANTS Profiler, VSTS Profiler, HTTP Watch, DebugDiag, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Profiler, Database Tuning advisor etc.
Project Skills:
Strong communication skills regarding technical topics and remote collaboration skills are critical to this role.
Demonstrates an ability to provide accurate project estimates and timelines.
Demonstrates an ability to deliver on project commitments.
Produces work that consistently meets quality standards.
Leadership Skills:
Demonstrates the ability to operate as the primary resource on a project
Demonstrates the ability to work with peers on project assignments.
Demonstrates a working ability to foster a cooperative environment with the entire project team. This resource is viewed as a "team player", who understands the culture and how to be effective in it.
Familiarity with Deloitte U.S. Firms' brand standards a plus
