Pay Scale & Emoluments :
Post Code - 01 : Officer Scale-I : Rs. 10000 – 470 / 6 – 12820 – 500 / 3 – 14320 – 560 / 7- 18240.
Post Code - 02 : Office Assistants: Rs. 4410 – 215/3 – 5055 – 335/3 – 6060 – 470/4 – 7940–500/3 – 9440 – 560/4 – 11680 – 970/1 12650 – 560/1 – 13210

Officer- Scale-I : At present the total starting emoluments are around Rs. 14896/- per month inclusive of DA & HRA at the current rate.
Office Assistants : At present the total starting emoluments are around Rs 7482/- per month for graduates inclusive of DA & HRA at the current rate.

Eligibility Criteria :
A) Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be a citizen of India and should be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh.

B) Age : ( As on 01.04.2009)
Post code 01- Officer Scale- I Minimum 18 years - Maximum 26 years.
Post code 02 – Office Assistants. Minimum 18 years - Maximum 26 years. (age relaxation as per govt rules)

C) Educational Qualification :
Post code 01- Officer Scale- I : Degree of a recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent .
Post code 02- Office Assistants :
i) Degree of a recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent OR
ii) Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of 10+2+3 pattern/ pre degree or intermediate or any equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in the aggregate. OR
iii) Pass with minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in matriculation / Senior School Certificate (old pattern) or equivalent .
and For both the posts Code- 1 & 2
i) Proficiency in Hindi is essential.
ii) Knowledge of English required
iii) Preference will be given to candidates with Computer Knowledge.

Selection Procedure :
Officer Scale- 1 : The selection will be made on the basis of performance in written test and interview.
Name of the Written Test :(Objective Tests) Duration: 150 minutes
Reasoning ability, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English Language.

The candidates shall be required to qualify in each objective test separately.
Wrong answers given in the objective test will result in negative marks.

Office Assistants :
The selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of written test and interview.
Name of the Test ; Written Test (Objective Tests) Duration: 150 minutes.
Reasoning ability, Numerical ability, Clerical Aptitude, English Language.

Note
(a) The marks obtained in first 3 papers will be reduced to 60% for the purpose of preparing merit list after the written examination.
(b) The test of English language is only a qualifying exam.
