Job Role: GIS Data Analyst
Job Summary :
Applies GIS tools and concepts to assist in the implementation of effective processes aimed at the integration of external digital data into the NAVTEQ database, especially in providing plotting related support, for the Field, Production and other departments within NAVTEQ.
Manages and executes processes for the plotting of internal and external data
Maintains a good understanding of NAVTEQ Database content and specification and the various tools and technologies utilized for database creation and maintenance.
Champions GIS concepts, practices, and procedures, for plotting and display of digital data in general.
Communicates clearly with internal customers on their needs and the plotting possibilities within NAVTEQ.
Delivers requested plots in a timely fashion and with the desired quality
Manages the shipment of plots, maintenance of plotting equipment and timely ordering of plotting paper if necessary.
Improves the knowledge on plotting possibilities with the available toolsets.
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience with the NAVTEQ database
Experience in ArcGIS
Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to function in a team environment.
Ability to work under time-pressure.
Punctual, independent worker.
Fluent in English
