Age limit: - 27 years as on 01.01.2010. Age is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Service Agreement: - Selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond of Rs. 50,000/- for Service for a minimum period of four years.
Health: - Applicants should have sound heath, Candidates with myopia and hypermetropia exceeding ± 4.00, squint and colour blindness, partial or full, need not apply. No relaxation in health standards is allowed.
Reservation: - Reservation of post for SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped candidates will be as per govt. rules in force.
Mode of Selection - Selection will be made on the basis of performance at written test and interview. Candidates called for written test / interview shall not be entitled to any traveling expenses.
Application Fee :
Demant Draft / Bankers Cheques of Rs.300/- as processing and Examination fees for the post of Special Operating Assistant and Rs. 250/- for the post of Junior Operator Technician Cum Technical Assistant and should be drawn in favor of "West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd." payable at Kolkata only. Demand drafts payable at locations other than Kolkata will not be accepted. SC/ST candidates from the state of West Bengal are exempted from processing and examination fees.
