Skill & Job Requirements:
Primary responsibilities will be to provide remote technical support for EMC's worldwide customer installations and field support personnel strictly following standard practices and operating procedures. The PSE uses apt judgment, creativity and sound technical knowledge to debug, obtain and apply solutions. The PSE also needs to record and update Service Requests in a timely and accurate manner, use defined protocols and independent decision to properly escalate more complex issues to senior staff in order to resolve customer issues in the most expedient manner possible, works as part of a team ensuring smooth transitions, works closely with the customer to resolve technical issues on various information storage systems/ platforms, redirects or provides necessary follow-up with customers and Management to ensure that the case is satisfactorily resolved and assist in developing resolutions to problems of limited scope as a part of knowledge sharing

Skills:
Technical Skills:
1. Candidate should possess a basic working knowledge of any major operating system flavors such as Windows, UNIX or Linux.
2. Computer systems knowledge of CPU, Memory, I/O Transfer, Drivers, Buffering, Job scheduling, Virtual memory, File systems and structure.
3.
Networking knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, Addressing, Mapping, flow control, naming, routing/ traffic.
4. Basic Understanding of Data Storage Industry (Storage management, Storage Architecture, Business Continuity)

Non-Technical Skills:

1. Candidate should possess strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, telephone and presentations skills.
2. Candidate should demonstrate the ability to assess and respond appropriately to customer issues in a professional manner.
3. Ability to grasp quickly newer technologies and complex subjects, interact and co-ordinate with multi-site teams
