Vedanta Aluminium Limited (VAL) has set up a Greenfield Alumina Refinery in Orissa with a capacity of 1.4 Million tons per annum. It is one of the world's premier alumina refining complex in terms of its technology, human resources and high quality infrastructure. VAL is also setting up world's single largest green field aluminium smelter. It has invested in a 1.75 mtpa aluminum smelter and 1215 MW captive power plant supported by highly modern infrastructure at Jharsuguda, Orissa. The firm intends to expand the fully integrated aluminium smelting capacity to around 2.6 mtpa in near future. The Group Company Sterlite Energy Limted is setting up a 2400 MW Independent Power Plants at Jharsuguda to meet the growing demand for power from both urban and rural consumers. Who can apply?
* Candidates who have passed B.Sc. in 2010
* First class throughout in academics
* Should have cleared all exam in first attempt
* Shouldn't have any breaks in studies
* Aged less then 23 years as on October 1, 2010
The candidates who have appeared in the final examination and are awaiting their results can also apply.
The Career-map:
The selected candidates will undergo training for 12 months as Graduate Trainees. The training process will comprise of in house and exposure to similar plants in India/abroad. On successful completion of training, they will be absorbed in the appropriate management level. Compensation will be the best in the industry including free accommodation during training period.
