As an Application Developer, you will participate in project planning sessions with businesses, business analysts, and team members to analyze Business IT requirements. For each project, you will participate with other team members to define and design project scope, as well as translate business and technical requirements into application modules. You will also contribute to the development of information models, such as entity relationship diagrams and objects, by providing design recommendations, developing and integrating programs per written specifications. Additionally, you will develop and test software application modules using disciplined software development processes. If necessary, you may also be required to undertake some database development work. Other duties include proactively supporting knowledge sharing within the IB Application Engineering team and across IB Technology. As for people management, you will manage your individual day to day workload, monitoring project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule and identify / mitigate risk. Additionally, you will promote teamwork in problem resolution and by coaching junior team members. Qualifications College degree, or specialized training or equivalent work experience Any IT work experience is beneficial An understanding of at least one programming language and design technique Understanding of business areas is preferred JPMorgan offers an exceptional benefits program and a highly competitive compensation package. |
