Job Role: Administrative Assistant
Job Summary :
Assists supervisor and department with clerical, minor administrative and business detail work.
Composes routine correspondence including e-mail and faxes.
Organizes and maintains file system filing correspondence and other records.
Answer supervisor's telephone calls and arranges conference calls.
Coordinates supervisor's schedule and makes appointments.
Greets visitors and directs to appropriate area or person.
Arranges travel schedules and reservations.
Compiles statistical reports.
Coordinates meetings, reserves and prepares facilities and may record and transcribe minutes.
Copies correspondences and other printed materials.
Prepares outgoing mail.
Orders and maintains supplies.
Arranges for equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
0 to 2 years of relevant experience; entry level position for those incumbents without experience.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other software as required by division.
Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
