CMTI is a multi-disciplinary R&D Organisation in the area of Manufacturing Technology & related fields and is well equipped with latest facilities in CAD/CAM, Rapid Prototyping, CNC & FMS Technologies, High speed machining, etc. The current focus of the Institute is in the areas of Advanced Technologies like Precision Engineering, Micro & Nano Manufacturing, etc. The Institute is in the process of establishing state-of-the-art facilities in these thrust areas and is embarking upon Research projects with an Industry focus.

Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC is allowed as per rules. Application fee (non-refundable) as specified above, should be paid by way of crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of CMTI, Bangalore. No fee for SC/ST and women candidates. Selection will be on the basis of written Test and Interview
The tenure of Research Fellowship is generally 2 years which may be extended based on the annual review, for a further period of two years on enhanced stipend, subject to achieving satisfactory progress and continuity in the assigned Research Project.
